The procedure to become WINGMAN in two Ships Formation, and later on on 4 Ships Formations, his certified by a FAST Check Pilot ( of any FAST Signatory) with a FPR, Formation Proficency Report, which entitle the pilot to own a “FAST CARD” , where type of endorsement and expiring date are specified:
WINGMAN. 2 Ships Wingman or 4 Ships Wingman
LEADER. 2 Ships Leader or 4 Ships Leader

The FAST CARD is a legal official document by FAA to permit regular flight in Air Shows in special waiver airpaces.
Other Countries may require additional approval for their Air Shows.
Furthermore a specific Patch is released to sport the endorsement on proper flight garments.
